The little creatures
we never see
late at night
near dawn and dusk,
or quickly passing by at noon,
are revealed
by winter's rules
that lay down snow
and keep it cold,
capturing like fossils
every little movement.
夜明けや日暮れの
近くの夜に
それともお昼にさっと通り過ぎる
私たちが
見たことのない
小さな生き物たちが
雪に覆われて
冷たいままの
冬の決まりによって
明らかになった
すべての小さな動きを
化石のようにとらえて。
