A Warm Michigan Autumn 暖かいミシガンの秋

Into November a full week

and the frosts have come

taking the weaker annuals,

curling and browning them

like bacon,

leaving only a few

of the perennials

left to service the bees

that must be wondering

when their work will end.

  

11月も一週間入り

霜がやってきて

弱い一年草を連れ去った

ベーコンのように

丸めて茶色にし、

あとはいつになったら

自分たちの仕事が

終わるのだろうと

不思議がっている

蜂たちのために

少しの多年草をのこす。
