Last Azalea to Bloom 最後の花咲くツツジ

She has not even one regret;,
for she waited for the first wave
of daffodils, tulips, crocuses,
apple trees, crabs and such
to fade to green,
and now she is queen
among white and yellow weeds,
Sweet Woodruff. Blue Bellflowers,
Perenial Geraniums, and the Columbines
with their lower profiles
seem to bow to her majesty,
May's Queen,
the Last Azalea to Bloom.

彼女は一つの心残りも無い
水仙、チューリップ、クロッカス、
りんごの木、クラブそして
緑へと変わっていくものたち
の最初の波を待っていたのだから。
そして今、彼女は黄色い雑草、
クルマバソウ、
カンパニュラ・ダークブルー、
ゼラニウム、オダマキたちの女王。
皆腰を屈めて
彼女の尊厳にお辞儀をする、
5月の女王、
最後の花咲くツツジに。
