Calm Before the Storm 嵐の前の静けさ

Last Friday 18 June
the Lavender played
a calming host
hours before the storm.

嵐の前に静かに
もてなしをした。

Butterfly Refueling 蝶の燃料補給

The Coreopsis
attracts butterflies all day;
this one refuels here
as if the colors of the
flower, are sucked right in.

This week they cancelled the Peony Festival
for all the Peonies were past their prime.
The fire-flies have begun to flare
in what seems like a couple weeks early,
while the fawns roam the forests,
finding closely hidden places
to nestled down in during daylight.

ハルシャギクは
一日中蝶を呼び寄せる
ここでは燃料補給をしている
まるで花の色がそのまま
吸われてしまっているように。

今週、ボタンの花の祭りがキャンセルされた
彼らのピークはもう過ぎてしまったから。
通常より2週間ほど早いような気がするが
蛍たちは炎を見せ始めた
小鹿たちは森を散策し始め、
昼間休むことの出来る
隠れ家を探している間に。

Swallowtail アゲハチョウ

A couple surprises landed nearby today:
First, a Swallowtail lit upon
a Rising Sun Coreopsis,
and I pursued it,
until it took a rest
on the grass shown here...

and then I looked up to see
a hot air baloon landing
just a couple hundred metres away.

今日は2つのびっくりすることが近くに着陸した。
まずはアゲハチョウが
オオキンケイギクの上に舞い降り、
そして私は追いかけていって
ここに見えるように芝生の上に
羽を休めるまで追いかけた。

そして上を見上げると
気球が着陸するのが見えた、
たった200メートルほど先に。

Too Bad There's a Butterfly 蝶が居なければ良いのに

Oba-chan chose this one,
"Too bad there's a butterfly"
she said, the flower
has a vivid blue color
and the butterfly is pale.

おばあちゃんがこれを選んだ、
『蝶が居なければ良いのに』
彼女は言った
花は明るい青で
蝶は暗いから。

Lilac and Butterfly ライラックと蝶

The lavender bush
was just too much to resist,
butterfly landed.

ラベンダーのブッシュ
誘惑に勝てなくて、
蝶が舞い降りた。

Like a butterfly
with its wings open at night,
water droplets white.

蝶のように
夜に羽を広げて
白い水滴

Butterfly Visits Adam & Eve 蝶々がアダムとエバを訪れる

Our first two flowers
visited by butterfly,
it sure beats a snake.
