An Oak's Haven 樫の木の安息所

この古い樫の木は
私たちの知らない者たちに
安息の場所を与えてくれる。
この夜雪からの避難所は
美しい雪同様に
皆に歓迎され、
その暖かさと純粋さは、
自然界のバランスの印。

入り口下の粉雪は
昨夜何インチも降った雪の
ほんの少し。
そこに挟まっている乾いた葉は、
安息所の居心地よさを
あらわす。


This old Oak provides a haven
to whom we are unsure,
for shelter from the evening snow
is welcomed by many,
as is the beauty of the the snow itself,
a dual simplicity of warmth and purity;
evidence of nature's balance.

The dusting below the entrance
is but a tiny tell of the inches
that fell last night,
as are the dry leaves wedged here
but a small indication
of the inner depth
of this haven's comfort.
